Bournemouth Jewellers based in and around Bournemouth and Wimborne asked for a new display unit to be designed and built. This was an oversized unit measuring almost 2.7m long with 2 shelves on a slight pitch making the back more viewable. I had to design it in such a way it could be collapsible, from building it on my drive to installing it within the shop.
A bespoke low level cupboard. A client from Sway was after a specific sized cupboard to store jackets at full width and length but at a low level. This was to stop obstructing any view out the window coming up the stairs to the left hand side. The customer also had another unit in the room that had a matching worktop which I have re-created to tie the two units together.
Various internal doors I have fitted for customers ranging from Bournemouth, Christchurch, West Moors, Alderholt, Ringwood, Poole, Lymington, Broadstone, Highcliffe, Ferndown, Wimbourne, Corfe Mullen & Fordingbridge.
I have been on a fire door installation course for a previous company I used to work for and am also a registered fitter for Todds doors in Bournemouth. All my work is carried to a high standard with all ironmongery fitted. Whether it be a cupboard door, to an external front door, to a 3m oak office door.
A returning customer of mine from Matchams asked for a bespoke low level corner unit to be created. After just recently having her kitchen installed, I have designed the doors and end panels with a shaker style and a solid pine worktop. All units have removable shelves and kick board.
This job based in Southbourne was to add more space using a dead area within the hallway. I first created a stud work to take the structure then plasterboarded one end. In order to tie the old cupboard to the new one I designed two new matching doors and created a custom coving to carry the detail around the unit making it look part of the wall. Within the cupboard I installed shelving where desired.
Emmanuel Church in Southbourne asked for a new room to be created within the main church room. The minister specifically asked for windows & ventilation.
I started by creating two stud walls in between both pillars, insulating and double boarding, then finally taping and jointing all myself. I designed the windows from scratch and installed toughened glass in each one. I’ve installed a Fire door with lining and all ironmongery, then designed and created one cupboard to house a lot of loose instruments and an open shelf unit to store the church’s items. Finally I have painted and decorated everything you can see in the photos.
This was an oak bannister install with glazed panels below. The client was based around Townsend in Bournemouth. The job required installing new newel posts and extending short existing ones to allow for the new glass and bannister to be installed. Unfortunately houses being houses nothing is ever straight so on the first floor landing I had to create a new piece of oak underneath the base rail that takes out all of the wobble from the wall leaving the client with a nice clean edge finish.
Based in Iford, Bournemouth the client requested a modernisation of their staircase and an additional two cupboard doors to be created and installed in the lower hallway. It first involved removing all existing spindles and rails then reinstalling new timber and preparing it ready for painting. I designed templates to be able to get these glass panels specifically made for this job using a local glass company in Bournemouth.I sourced all the hardware and installed it all myself.
This is a media wall I designed and built in Iford for a client. All the shelves have been rebated adding significant strength to the unit, the key details were to house around the tv at the correct height then adding maximum storage in an aesthetically pleasing way. All base units are on a push to open system with soft close. All doors have been designed to a shaker style and all edges were routed and sanded.
This customer based in Alderholt required more storage under the staircase. I have designed and created a flush wall with one end being rebated with an inlay panel. The face of the unit has one heavy duty pull out draw with soft-close runners the full depth of the staircase. I have then created a pair of shaker style doors to act as a cupboard to the right-hand side allowing the client to store their desired items

A project I have completed around the Tuckton/Christchurch area for a customer. It was to replace a like for like. Unfortunately the previous carpenter (who on discovery had the same name as me) had built it in softwood and through little to no maintenance had deteriorated over time. After agreeing with the client, I replaced all exposed framework with hardwood and the rest with treated softwood etc. Very fun job and really got to use my skill set.
A job I completed in Bournemouth, removing an existing front door and replacing it with an exterior hardwood door with all the iron mongery. At a later date I returned to replace the window from its existing glass to new toughened clear glass I supplied. I also smartened up the frame removing any damaged timber and installing new timber.
This was a job based in Parkstone which I saw throughout. Due to the previous tenant using the roof as a balcony and the timbers not being structurally appropriate, all existing timber work had to be stripped back. I installed 9x2 joist to a structural drawing supplied, then built a tapped floor with all the posts you can see coming out of the floor before any sealing could be done. After the roof had been sealed using an epoxy resin I returned to install all the cladding which is external and internal. I then painted it all. After all of that I installed the facia, soffit and guttering.
